What I have been doing

21/2/12

Today we did my first scene, it was based in the school reception, me, Yaser and Fahim were the actors but me and Yaser were the cameramen. We also tried to do the 3rd scene but we didn't know our lines and we barely had any time left to do the scene. 

28/2/12

Today we did my third scene but we were unhappy with it so we had to do it again, we did it good but we were told we had to change the storyline because our members couldn't go to Sainsbury's so we made some slight changes, instead of the Sainsbury's car parks so we made plans to meet at school at Saturday at 2pm. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a camera with me and so I stood Fahim and Yaser up.

6/3/12

Today I told the team that I had made the changes to the script but i had to change the 3rd scene again and we decided to do all the scenes after school. Fahim was our camera man, I was an actor and so was Yaser.

13/3/12
We were going to go after school but we couldn't because I forgot to get the camera to record and no one was there to give us permission so we could take a camera out and also my friends didn't come after school.

20/3/12
We got our costumes, as well as the equipment we needed. Finally when the 5th period bell went me and my friends went an got changed and went out side to film/record our video. It took around 3 hours to finish doing all of the scenes (3-4 scenes) because the other people in the crew were still new to the script.

27/3/12
Today was our last day and I was pretty nervous how we were going to edit a 6 scenes, music and titles into a 5 minute good/perfect movie. What happened first was Fahim looked for a funny music to end it, Yaser started to get the camera because we were going to have some narration in our movie. We finished the narration but Fahim hadn't finished finding the music. We weren't phased because we were going to add the music in last, I started editing the narration clips while Yaser went to put the equipment away. It took around 10 minutes for me to finish the editing, now it was time to start editing the entire movie I first edited out the parts we didn't need in the clips that we didn't need/were useless and put the videos in order of which scene was first and which was last. Yaser edited the narration bits and where they would go as well as some of the titles. Fahim finally found the right music for the end of the video so he made me download it at keepvid.com, we added the video to our video and we were done!

What we achieved today! 
Today we have finished editing our documentary which we have struggled with for quite some time, it's not distinction worthy but it is at least worth a merit! We have made an entertaining documentary and i enjoyed making this movie, we worked together and we didn't have a lot of problems accept actually making the video into a good video!

Roles
My role was the host who asked the questions and interviewed people and I was the one who found the videos in the movie. Fahim was our stage director who carried the equipment and he setup the stuff we needed in the background and he made sure most people were quiet and didn't come in the shot, well that is most people. Yaser's role was the camera man, he setup the camera and filmed all of the videos that we needed for the documentary.

Evaluation
I enjoyed working with my friends to make the video. On the first week we had to plan to do what we wanted to do but we did the pre-planning and 2 weeks after that week we were out trying to interview people. It was quite hard to interview people because they were in lesson or just didn't want to be in the film. We had to find people who wanted to be interviewed and had shared opinions.

The jackasses!!!

Our movie is about a person who is a total jackass because he is smart but he does stupid things with his friend who are as dumb as him.


The beginning: Three boys playing football in a local car park. Yaser accidentally kicks the ball at a car which is parked in the car park. Yaser gets up and they panic, then they try to cover up their mistake and laugh as they run away from the site, the boys realize that they forgot to get their ball and run back to get their ball. The boys run away and a flashback happens to the point where the boys first met.

Then we go to the beginning of when the three met. A boy called Yaser and his friend Fahim who are wondering about in school and see a boy called Ashti(a new student)who is a smart person however he does do stupid things. He become friends with the other two. They hang out for a bit then they plan to go play some football.

Scenes

1. EXT. Car park. Night.
ASHTI is a 15 year old short boy, black hair, brown eyes, yellow skin. FAHIM a 15 year old medium sized boy with a beard, black hair, brown skin, brown eyes. YASER a short 15 year old boy, brown skin, brown eyes with black hair.

The boys play and run around with the ball, the ball hits the car , the ball moves away from the car. 

Camera shows Ashti looking down on Yaser.

ASHTI

Come on, get up, let's scram man!

Yaser gets up.

Camera shows Yaser's left side of his body.

Only Yaser, the ball and the car are shown in the car park.

Yaser gets up and rubs his bum.

YASER

Ow that hurt, but i am alright.

The camera shows the three boys in shock.
Fahim looks at the camera in shock.

FAHIM

Damn. This is just messed up.

YASER

Yaser looks at the others nervously and slowly

ASHTI
Umm well let's see, it's on the drivers door and it's around 56cm by 35cm.

Ashti, Yaser and Fahim run away from the car.

2. INT.  School reception. Daytime.

The boys wear school uniform, black school blazers, black trousers, black shoes, white shirts and different coloured ties. Yaser and Fahim  stand near the elevator in school. Fahim holds a drink in his right hand. Yaser holds a pizza in his left hand. Ashti walks innocently looking around, turning his head.

Yaser and Fahim look at each other and have a quiet conversation while enjoying their snacks. Ashti bumps into Fahim and Yaser. Yaser falls down. Fahim struggles to stand up and walks backwards a bit to get balance. 

ASHTI

Sorry, i am new guy, nice to meet you.

Fahim moves towards Ashti.
Yaser gets up and moves towards Ashti.
 The three boys stand in front of the stairs. 

YASER

Watch where your going. Man that kinda hurts.

Alright what's your name?

The boys sit down on the chairs and tuck themselves in.

ASHTI

Sorry again, my name is Ashti. You are?

FAHIM

My name is Fahim, he's Yaser. Sorry about that Ashley.

ASHTI 

My name is Ashti, not Ashley, anyway where is everyone?

Ashti looks around nervously.

FAHIM

Everyone's in lesson.

ASHTI

What the heck you doing then?     

FAHIM

Free lesson.

ASHTI 

Does he talk much?

FAHIM

yeeeeeeeeee.

Yaser interrupts.

YASER

Don't talk for me Fahim, i can talk for myself. And yes I do talk much.
Just my momma told me not to talk to strangers.

ASHTI

Alright, I know it's late to say this but nice to meet you.

YASER & FAHIM
 Same. 1, 2, 3, Jinx!

(Super fast)

Ashti laughs

3. INT. Astroturf. Daytime.

 The boys wear school uniform, black school blazers, black trousers, black shoes, white shirts and different coloured ties. The boys gather around a medium sized round white table. They sit ona black bench next to each other.  The camera is positioned opposite of the boys. 

.Ashti looks at Yaser and Fahim and then looks down.

ASHTI

You wanna play some football

FAHIM

ummmm maybe i won't.

Yaser speaks quickly.

YASER

Yeah sure why not!
Where we going.

Ashti laughs.

ASHTI

I was getting to that.
Ok um, you know there is a carpark down the road right?

FAHIM and YASER
yes why?

ASHTI
Lets meet up there.
play some football there.
This sunday.

YASER

Sure.

FAHIM

I'm not coming.

 Fahim gets up and walks away.
 Ashti grabs Fahim's right arm.

Ashti and Yaser look at Fahim.
The camera shows the three boys again.

ASHTI

Come on man, come don't be like that man.

FAHIM

Alright, but if we get in trouble, you get all the blame though.

ASHTI

Harsh, but i agree to those terms.
The boys walk away from the bench.

(Blackout happens)

4. EXT. Car park. Night.

ASHTI

Here it is boys,lets play.

The boys walk away from each other and spread out.
They play a little bit of football. They pass the ball around.
Yaser hits the ball and the ball goes under a car.

ASHTI
Now look wht you've done.
Damn it this is exactly why i hate playing football
in a fucking car park.

FAHIM
But it was your idea to meet here.

ASHTI
Oh shut up Mr wise guy!

Ashti tries to pull it out it doesn't work.
Yaser lifts up a big piece of wooden stick.

YASER
Here use this!

ASHTI 
Forget it.
You use it, im not getting dirty again u hear me!

 Yaser tries to pull the ball out, he succeds. 

ASHTI
Phew, thank you,lets play!

FAHIM

Ok pass it here!


Ashti passes the ball to Fahim. Fahim passes the ball to Yaser.
Yaser takes a shot and sends the ball to Ashti.
The ball doesn't get to Ashti and it collides with a car.

ASHTI 
What the fuck! Have you done!
We are so screwed.

YASER
Yeah, yeah. Just grab the ball and lets get out of here.

Ashti looks at Yaser.

(Blackout happens)

5. EXT. Playing with a trolley outside of Sainsbury's. Night.

ASHTI

Come on, get up, let's scram man!

Yaser gets up.

Camera shows Yaser's left side of his body.

Only Yaser, the ball and the car are shown in the car park.

Yaser gets up and rubs his bum.

YASER

Ow that hurt, but i am alright.


The camera shows the three boys in shock.
Fahim looks at the camera in shock.


FAHIM

Ashti quickly loses his smile.
The boys run away from the car.

Ashti grabs Fahim and Yasers arms and stops them from running.

ASHTI
Woah woah woah.

There is an easy way out of this. 

The Yaser and Fahim sigh in relief.

Background sound saying no.

(Blackout happens)

7. EXT. Car park. Night. 

The camera shows an A4 peice of paper that has 'You got insurance, Use it!' written
on it on car door that has been damaged.

The camera shows the three boys.
Fahim has an annoyed look  face.

FAHIM

This is your brilliant way out.

ASHTI

Got any better ideas?

FAHIM

No but it's idiotic.

ASHTI

Idiotic is better than nothing and i don't want to get in trouble.

The camera shows a A3 sheet with 'You got insurance, use it' in big, bold red letters again.

The boys run away from the car. 

Ashti stops the Fahim and Yaser.

ASHTI
(shaking his hands.)

Woah, woah, woah.

YASER and FAHIM

What is it?

ASHTI

My ball is still there.

(BLACKOUT)

 'Later on'  title

 The camera shows the back and right side of the owners body when hes looking at his car.

The camera shows can of

Cola falling on the floor then blackout happens!

 The owner of the car (Yaser) looks at the A4 sheet and drops a can of Cola.

Storyline:
Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life form began to appear and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain "the creatures"...... Our story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border.

Its about a man called Andrew Kaulder and a woman called Samantha Wynden. The man is a single divorced man who has a son called Tommy and is a photographer who is trying to make money by going to Mexico to get some shots of the monsters who are killing the people in Mexico, he is sent by his boss to save his daughter Samantha and get her back to America safely. Samantha Wynden is a rich tourist who is the daughter of a rich man, she is engaged to someone but throughout her journey she begins to have feelings for Andrew, she has a broken arm and she is a tourist.
The two have to get to America. They first meet at a maternity hospital and then they go on a train to the another city next to the shore. They then go to a man who sells tickets for ferry's but he is a man who is greedy for money so he charges $5000 for one ticket which the two find outrageous, they try to bargain with the man but they lose the bargain and the man decides to pay. Then they go to a hotel, the woman gets a honey moon suite and the man gets a rubbish one, they put their things in the apartments and then decide to go out. They have a good night, Andrew takes Samantha back to her suite and then decides to go out and enjoy himself some more. He ends up sleeping with a Mexican woman, Samantha who has now developed some feelings for Andrew finds the two together and she runs away. Andrew follows her forgetting about the woman he has left in his apartment, the woman wakes up and steals it while Sam and Andrew are arguing. Andrew runs back to the apartment to get his and her passports, he finds out the woman has stolen everything he owned and they went to the owner of the ferry's ticket shop and ask him to give them a free ticket then they work out a deal that they go through the infected zone but are guarded by armed men and they start their journey. They face a lot of hardships and end up being alone without no help. They end up in a abandoned city in a petrol station and they end up with two aliens coming near them but the aliens move away from them and the army comes and separates them when they almost make out.

The jackasses!!!

Our movie is about a person who is a total jackass because he is smart but he does stupid things with his friend who is as dumb as him. We are going to use head on shots and dolly shots and also music. Use dynamics. We will use dialogue in this movie but and we will also do some crazy stunts. 

The beginning: Three boys playing with a trolley that they found in Sainsburys. Yaser accidentally falls down off the trolley after the trolley hits a car. Yaser gets up and they laugh as they run away from the site, the boys realize that they forgot to get their pound from the trolley and run back to get their money out of the trolley.The boys run away and a flashback happens to the point where the boys first met.

Then we go to the beginning of when the three met. They plan the stunt about stealing a trolley from Sainsburys so they say where it's going to be, where and how they are going to do. Ashti:"Yo i am going to do a very fun prank, you wanna join me", they have a chat for about 2 minutes asking about what the prank is, Ashti doesn't tell them, they join Ashti in the prank then he tells them about the prank. Then they go to Sainsburys, steal a trolley and then do stupid things with it. The trolley hits a car, then Yaser falls off the trolley,  they get up, tantrum, graffiti all over the car door then they run away laughing. Ashti commands the other two to stop, they look behind each other, get the trolley, put it into a trolley shelter and run off.

They sit down close to each other and look at a white piece of blank A3 paper. The camera is positioned opposite of the boys so that the audience don't see the white piece of paper. Ashti has an evil smile on his face. Ashti puts his hand on the left and right sides of the sheet. The three boys sit and look at the paper.

ASHTI

I'm going to do something very fun at the best market in the world A.K.A 'Sainsbury's' dunno and I'm planning for it, you wanna join me?

Fahim is confused and has a nervous look on his face.

FAHIM

ummmm maybe i won't.

Yaser speaks quickly.

YASER

We're in!
What we doing.

Ashti laughs.

ASHTI

I was getting to that.
(Ashti lifts both his hands and puts them back on the side of the sheet)
OK this is what we will do, we will do this, that, all of that and that!"

(Ashti points at the white A3 paper randomly repeatedly)

YASER

Let's do this.

The camera shows Fahims face.

FAHIM

I'm not coming.

 Fahim gets up and walks away.
 Ashti grabs Fahim's right arm.

Ashti and Yaser look at Fahim.
The camera shows the three boys again.

ASHTI

Come on man, you got to do this.

FAHIM

Alright, but if we get in trouble, you get all the blame though.

ASHTI

The boys are outside of Sainsbury's.

The boys loot at the camera. 

 Ashti has a smile on his face.

ASHTI

Here it is boys, fun time.

The boys walk to the trolleys and grab one.

They try to pull it out, it doesn't work. 

ASHTI
Pound. Come on.

FAHIM

Ain't got none.

Ashti looks at Fahim in shock.

ASHTI

What! Don't you have a pound Fahim?

Ashti looks at Fahim and Yaser.

(Repeatedly)

FAHIM

What for?

YASER

I don't.

ASHTI

Your supposed to have money with you all the time.

FAHIM

I do but I have no change.

Ashti puts his hand on his forehead and shakes his head.

Ashti puts a pound in the trolley pound slot and he slowly pulls it out. 

The boys move the trolley away from the trolley shelter.

5. EXT. Playing with a trolley outside of Sainsbury's. Night.

The boys start playing with the trolley. Yaser gets on the trolley. The boys laugh as they push Yaser. They move away and away from the car park. Yaser(on the trolley) moves towards a car fast. 

Yaser screams for help.

YASER

What the hell! Guys Help!

Fahim and Ashti run after Yaser. There mouths are wide open.

FAHIM

Wait nooo, what you doing! Watch out. Your going to crash with that car. Oh nooo.

ASHTI 

We are in big trouble, quickly stop him!

FAHIM
Damn Ashti, this is so fucked. What the hell.

ASHTI 

Alright hold on to your horses. oh crap.
NOOOOOOOOO!

The boys run towards Yaser as fast as they can.

(Blackout happens)

6. EXT. Playing with a trolley outside of Sainsbury's. Night.

YASER

Shitt! Heeelp man, HELP!

The trolley hits the car and Yaser falls off the trolley. 

ASHTI

Come on, get up, let's scram man!

Yaser gets up.

Camera shows yaser's left side of his body.

Only Yaser and the trolley are shown in the carpark.

Yaser gets up and rubs his bum.

YASER

Ow that hurt, but i am alright.

The camera shows the three boys in shock.
Fahim looks at the camera in shock.

FAHIM

Damn. This is just messed up.

Fahim's body is shown only.

Yaser looks at the others nervously and slowly.

YASERThink the owner will notice.

Ashti with an annoyed look on his face.

ASHTI
Umm well let's see, it's on the drivers door and it's around 56cm by 35cm.
So yeah.

FAHIM

Oh shit, what the hell have we done.

 Ashti points at the others with exitement and a smile on his face.

Ashti quickly loses his smile.
The boys run away from the car.

Ashti stops Fahim and Yaser from running.

There is an easy way out of this. 

The Yaser and Fahim sigh in relief.

7. EXT. Playing with a trolley outside of Sainsbury's. Night. 

They put a sheet that has 'you got insurance' written
on it on car door on the damage done to the car.

The camera shows the three boys. Fahim has an annoyed face.

FAHIM

This is your brilliant way out.

ASHTI

Got any better ideas?

FAHIM

No but it's idiotic.

ASHTI

Idiotic is better than nothing and i don't want to get in trouble.

The camera shows a A3 sheet with 'You got insurance, use it' in big, bold red letters 

The boys run away from the car. 

Ashti stops the Fahim and Yaser.

ASHTI
(shaking his hands.)

YASER and FAHIM

ASHTI

My pounds in the trolley.

 The owner of the car (Yaser) looks at the A4 sheet.
